Predictably, there wasn’t much offense in the Chicago-Denver matchup. The ending was pretty wild, capped off by a GW-53yd FG that flipped the script for Chicago.

Since Christian Yelich fractured his knee cap & was ruled out for the rest of 2019, Ryan Braun has taken it upon himself to step up for the reigning NL MVP. He’s sure doing a hell of a job in the short period of time since then to keep Milwaukee’s playoff hopes alive.

After a climatic SNF game, Julio Jones walked away as the all-time leading receiver in Atlanta Falcons franchise history. With their backs to the wall, Jones stepped up with the game-changing 4th down conversion when he took a screen pass all the way to the house.

In a crucial series with playoff implications on the line, newly acquired Jedd Gyorko stepped up in the 9th to give the Dodgers the game victory & series W.

Eugenio Suarez has come out of nowhere to make this HR race an epic competition. Mike Trout & Christian Yelich are both out for the year making Alonso, Bellinger, and now Suarez all contenders for the HR King of 2019.

In a back-and-fourth defensive division battle that featured what many consider the best WR vs. the best CB, there were many things to watch in this game including rookie Gardner Minshew’s 1st NFL start. However, by the end of the game, it all came down to a gutsy 2pt conversion attempt.

While an early blown whistle costed the Saints again in a LA-NO matchup, there wasn’t much New Orleans could do to match LA’s offensive spark in the 2nd half once Drew Brees went down with an injury.

Before they were dominated in LA, New Orleans extended HC Sean Payton for 5 years, keeping their continuity intact.

Mike Trout for having another season for the books until a foot injury will end his season two weeks short. Despite the absence and LA’s lackluster record, Trout could still be named the 2019 AL MVP.
