DeMarcus Ware was selected 11th overall in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys out of Troy University. As a rookie, Ware started in all 16 games and recorded eight sacks and three forced fumbles. In his next season, he made his first out of nine Pro Bowls with 11.5 sacks and two defensive TDs. In the 2008 season, he recorded career-highs in sacks (20) and TFL (27) on the way to his second of four All-Pro selections. Dallas had one of the most dominant defenses in the NFL with DeMarcus Ware leading the D-line.
DEMARCUS WARE WAS THE GREATEST DEFENDER IN DALLAS COWBOYS HISTORY
After leading the Cowboys’ defensive line for nine years, Ware finished with seven Pro Bowls and four All-Pros, along with being the NFL Sack leader twice and the TFL leader three times. After the 2013 season, Ware took his talents to Denver where he and Von Miller led the Broncos to their third Super Bowl victory before retiring after the 2016 season. Ware finished his career with multiple NFL and Cowboys records, cementing himself as the greatest Cowboys defender of all-time.
