There have been a plethora of elite pass catching Tight Ends in the history of the NFL. Zach Ertz has developed into one of the best Tight Ends since he entered the NFL in 2013 and leads all Eagles Tight Ends in a variety of categories. Ertz was traded to the Arizona Cardinals on Friday but his legacy is secure as the greatest Eagles Tight End in the Super Bowl Era due to his consistent pass catching volume and abundance of impressive records.

TAKEAWAY

COLORS KEY | FULL EAGLES OUTLOOK

Even though he hasn’t recently performed at the Pro Bowl level that was expected of him, Zach Ertz is still a legendary Tight End for the Philadelphia Eagles and has broken numerous Eagles Tight End franchise records. Ertz is clearly the best Tight End in Eagles history but was replaceable after the emergence of young Dallas Goedert, who is poised to take the reigns as Philly’s new TE1 going forward. Plus, Philly has a plethora of draft picks in 2022.

Zach Ertz will always have a soft place in the heart of Eagles fans for scoring the most important TD in franchise history and will probably make their Hall of Fame when he retires. For now, the former Pro Bowler will join a rising Cardinals team led by early MVP candidate Kyler Murray, sensational receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and solid veteran contributor A.J. Green. That’s the recipe for an offense no defense wishes to face and gives Ertz a new opportunity to play postseason football this year.

Ertz has quite the Eagles resume
