Alex Cora celebrated his 46th birthday in style, setting a new Major League postseason record. Cora recorded his record-breaking 17th win in his first 22 postseason games, as the Red Sox thrashed the Astros 12-3 to take a 2-1 lead in their league championship series. The skipper looked on as his red-hot Red Sox hit yet another grand slam, this one a towering shot by midseason acquisition Kyle Schwarber, capping a six-run second inning, which set the tone for their dominant victory and made history in the process.
