2011: Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch ran for his signature 68-yard ‘Beast Quake’ TD against the Saints in the playoffs that helped the 7-9 Seahawks become the 1st under .500 team to win a Playoff game

2008: 3x Super Bowl-winning HC Joe Gibbs retired from his position with Washington for the 2nd time

2004: 14 years after the initial allegations, Pete Rose’s memoir My Prison Without Bars was released, in which he finally admitted to his gambling accusations

2000: Down 16-15 with 0:16 to play, Tennessee Titans TE Frank Wycheck lateraled a kickoff to WR Kevin Dyson, who caught the Buffalo Bills off-guard and scored the game-winning TD in an iconic moment known as the “Music City Miracle”. Titans would go on to lose in the Super Bowl by 1 yard on the final play

1989: San Francisco 49ers crushed the Chicago Bears 28-3, advancing to their 1st of 2 consecutive Super Bowl titles
