San Diego Padres outlook after acquiring Closer Tanner Scott and Relief Pitcher Bryan Hoeing from the Miami Marlins for pitching prospects Adam Mazur and Robby Snelling, utilityman prospect Graham Pauling, and infield prospect Jay Beshears. While the Marlins received a prospect haul, the Padres strengthened the backend of their bullpen as they contend for a playoff spot and the division.
