MOST VALUABLE INTEL: Miami is 1 Playmaker Away From Title Contention
Once the NBA season resumes, each franchise has a primary need that must be answered. Whether a team is near the bottom or the top of a conference, they will have a paramount problem to address in order to be competitive post-coronavirus. The Miami Heat shocked the Association this season by ranking fourth in the East after last year’s acquisition of SF Jimmy Butler provided a strong leader for the young core of PF Bam Adebayo, SG Kendrick Nunn, and SG Tyler Herro. The Heat aren’t quite on the same level as the league-leading Bucks, but the addition of a lead playmaker could close the gap by solidifying Miami’s starting five, which has previously relied on several secondary ball-handlers. The rest of the teams in the NBA each have a key void to fill if they wish to improve for the 2020-21 season.
