CLEVELAND BROWNS MADE A STATEMENT: WE’RE BETTER WITHOUT ODELL BECKHAM JR.
COLORS KEY | FULL BROWNS OUTLOOK
The Cleveland Browns released Odell Beckham Jr. a few days before their Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. This proved to be the spark CLE’s offense needed, as they went off for 41 points and continuously moved the ball downfield, with their ample rushing attack. The Browns may not have a premier receiving option on the outside but still have a productive offense.
Even though the Browns lost a potential top-tier receiving talent in Beckham Jr., Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Browns’ offense proved they’re more than capable of holding their own in the division race. Factor in Myles Garrett, Jadeveon Clowney, and a talented secondary that stifled the emerging Joe Burrow and a legendary talent in Ja’Marr Chase, and the Browns have one of the most talented teams in the NFL. If Week 9 was any indication, they’re more likely to reach their potential now that OBJ is off the team.
