In a stacked slate of 12 games on Wednesday night, the road teams shined by winning nine of them. One of these came from a heroic buzzer-beater by Luka Doncic to propel Dallas over Memphis. Reggie Jackson also hit a game-winner on the road for LAC as they went on to beat his old team in Detroit. The short-handed Brooklyn squad put in a solid effort against Philly’s first-teamers, but fell short in the end. Toronto was also missing key players, but were able to secure the home victory over San Antonio.

Indiana found themselves up 20 at the half, which was enough for them to coast to a win over Houston. Nikola Vucevic squared off against his old team, but it did not go as he would’ve hoped as Chicago went on to lose to a weaker Orlando squad. New York had a 40-point third quarter and rode that to a dub over New Orleans. Russell Westbrook recorded his sixth consecutive triple-double in Washington’s win over Sacramento.

In the lowest scoring affair of the night, Cleveland clashed with Charlotte and walked away with a road victory. Nikola Jokic tallied a triple-double in Denver’s first game without Jamal Murray, who will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Milwaukee mauled Minnesota in a 25-point blowout, and Golden State ran OKC out of their own building in a beating by 38 points as Steph‘s sensational 3rd Quarter (25 PTS on 8-8 FG) fueled another phenomenal performance.

NBA TOP PERFORMERS

REGGIE’S RISE IS KEY FOR THE CLIPPERS CHAMPIONSHIP ASPIRATIONS

The Los Angeles Clippers PG Reggie Jackson is fresh off a 29-point outing against his former team, the Detroit Pistons. Five of those points came during a game-winning jumper with 2.3 seconds left in the game and a game-tying 3PM during the prior possession with under 20 seconds remaining. Jackson has been extremely important to LAC this season, playing in the second-most games on the team, and picking up slack when teammates Kawhi Leonard and Paul George frequently miss time.

The Clippers PG is also tied for the team’s best AST/TO ratio at 2.8, showcasing how efficient he can be for this team. He’s seen a recent uptick in production as well. Jackson has five 20+ point games in the last three weeks, but only two prior all season long. He has really been coming into his own as of late, showing how much better he can make this Clippers squad.

There has been a desire for LAC to land a true PG in recent years, which could be the missing piece that’s holding this team back from a championship. With Jackson’s recent performances, he is looking like he could be the answer to the ball handler situation in LA. If the guard keeps stringing together these impressive performances, it will greatly increase LA’s odds of bringing home the title, as they would have another weapon at their disposal alongside Leonard and George.
