Nelson Cruz ended the night in walk-off fashion that also added some clutch insurance runs, game-tying shots, and lead-off HRs that highlighted an offensive spark to the week.

The Minnesota Twins were all tied up with the Pirates in the 9th inning before Nelson Cruz stepped up to the plate. The ageless power hitter continued to smash as his warning track shot would’ve won the game if it had been caught or not.

The Minnesota Twins and Pittsburgh Pirates had the Game of the Day on Monday. Not only did it feature a walk-off by Cruz in the 9th, but it also had these bare-handed defensive gems where no glove was necessary.

Javy Baez is notorious for making no-look tags at second base as he has quicker glove speed than any player in the league. 2020 is a whole lot different, but some things are still the same.

Joey Votto has found himself on the wrong end of final at-bats this season before he dealt with COVID-like symptoms. The former MVP is all healthy now and showed what he can do at full strength with this game-changing shot in the sixth inning to turn a deficit into a lead that they never relinquished.
Did you know, Chicago fans can save 15% on insurance when Yoan Moncada and Kris Bryant provide it late in the game like this.

Jose Abreu and Fernando Tatis Jr. delivered with their team trailing to tie it up and provide some hope for their squads that ultimately led to close victories.

There’s no better way to start a game than by leading it off with a bomb.
San Diego Padres Jake Cronenworth has filled in admirably for an injured Eric Hosmer at first base as he’s crushing the ball through five games, leading the league in triples (2), and putting on a defensive show at the cold corner.
Gio Urshela continues to add defensive highlights to his 2020-reel as he simultaneously continues to rake as one of the Bombers most underrated players.

Nicholas Castellanos has started red-hot this season and with this HR, he’s currently in the top spot of the early MVP polling 1/6 into the season. Usually it takes a whole month before getting to that point in the year, but in a 60-game season, two hot months could be enough to win it all, and that’s why Castellanos was the dark-horse MVP pick by PSO before the season. He’s exceeded any expectations thus far with his new team in Ohio.

Full game highlights of today’s close games will be posted here once they conclude.
