The AL East had a couple exciting games on Sunday as the Red Sox walked it off against the Blue Jays right around the same time the Rays were capping off their comeback against the Yankees with a game-winning hit of their own. Jo Adell had a nightmare in the outfield and Dinelson Lamet had a no-hitter going through 6 innings, among other exciting events in baseball.

There is no greater joy for an outfielder than robbing a HR. And on the other end of the spectrum, there is no worse feeling than failing to make a simple catch that ends up turning into a four-bagger. That’s exactly what happened to Jo Adell in just his fourth official MLB game. Hopefully he quickly recovers mentally from the embarrassing mistake so early in his extremely promising career.

With the series 2-1 in favor of the Rays, it was looking like the Yankees were ready to tie it up after a win on Sunday. Tampa Bay said think again as they turned a shutout into a tie game with back-to-back jacks in the 7th before Michael Perez finished it off in the 9th.

Paxton was DEALING before the 7th inning though.

Mitch Moreland enjoyed his Sunday afternoon with two homers, including the walk-off bomb to put Boston up for good as they were down to their last out in the 9th before they would have had to play extra innings.

After the Cubs-Cardinals matchup got postponed, the Indians-White Sox series finale got moved up to the primetime Sunday Night Baseball slot, which ended up being a great decision as Lucas Giolito was dealing while the Indians kept it close. A clutch hit in the 8th allowed Cleveland to clinch an extra innings opportunity which they seized with a suicide squeeze bunt.

San Francisco was holding on to a close lead before AJ Pollock stepped up to the plate in the 7th and eliminated a 2-run lead with one swing of the bat. In the very next inning, Mookie Betts added some quality insurance runs with a 3-run shot of his own to carry the Dodgers to a 6-2 victory over their division-rival.

2020 has become somewhat of a renaissance season for Miguel Cabrera despite his mediocre production across the board. He already has a 2-HR game under his belt this year and now adds a clutch hit to clinch a Tigers win as well.

A double-header was in store for the Atlanta Braves on Sunday and Ronald Acuna enjoyed both games as he entered the day with only one dinger on his 2020 resume, but ended it with four times that thanks to a 3-HR day.

Aaron Judge received all the recognition out of the gates for his early-season dominance, but as things are getting settled, it’s Fernando Tatis Jr. who’s stock is rising as quick as any. The electric SS has always had potential to one day become a MVP candidate, but the 21-year-old is already emerging into one of the premier players in the game.

Rafael Devers and Alex Gordon each made some 5-star plays on Sunday that are the definition of must-see MLB highlights.

A day after Johnny Cueto lost his no-hitter in extremely unfortunate circumstances, Dinelson Lamet went out there with a no-hitter of his own until Kole Calhoun kept his big-hit streak going with a no-hit ending bomb in an otherwise non-competitive game.

Cleveland’s rookie James Karinchak was looking nasty out of the bullpen on Sunday Night Baseball while Jesus Luzardo recorded his first career win (of many), and Justus Sheffield completely neutralized the red-hot Rockies.

Full game highlights of today’s close games will be posted here once they conclude.
