The Toronto Blue Jays and San Diego Padres stole the show on Thursday with their miraculous comebacks, Grand Slams, and walk-offs that were supported by other prime pitching performances, standout defensive plays, and big time long balls to help the MLB compete for attention with the NBA Playoffs also occurring on August 20th, 2020.

Facing the Phillies during a double-header in Buffalo, one of these two outcomes would’ve been fantastic, but to put together six hours worth of big league games that featured a comeback walk-off in Game 1 and the erasing of a 7-0 deficit to win in Game 2, made August 20th a big day for the Buffalo Blue Jays.

The San Diego Padres made MLB history by becoming the first team to ever hit a Grand Slam in four consecutive games. That wasn’t enough for the friar faithful as they went on to hit ANOTHER walk-off against the Rangers to complete the sweep.

Trailing by two runs in the 9th inning didn’t matter for the Cardinals as they continued to hit around the lineup for Kolten Wong to deliver the final blow to cap off a Cards comeback.

Even with Alex Bregman now hitting the IL, the Houston Astros are still rolling as they picked up their eighth win in a row, ending it in style thanks to Josh Reddick’s diving grab.

Josh Reddick’s diving grab was impressive on its own, but especially considering it was the final out of the game. These three grabs below were also worthy of cracking the 8/20/20 edition of must-see MLB highlights.

Gone are the days of Clayton Kershaw inevitably winning the Cy Young award every year, but he still has one of the best curveballs in the game, and he used it to help him make Dodgers history while racking up double-digit Ks.

Just yesterday, the 2018 No.1 Overall Pick made his MLB debut in impressive fashion, so naturally, the second pick in that draft was called up next to contribute at the big-league level. There’s a reason Joey Bart could go down as the best backstop of the 2020s, proven by his impressive bat speed that resulted in his first big league base hit.

Lucas Giolito is one of the best pitchers in the game, and he reaffirmed that on Thursday night with seven shutout innings, striking out almost two batters per frame.
With a home run already in his back pocket, Matt Chapman blasted another one, this time into the upper deck seats for a lucky cutout fan to receive in the mail.

Full game highlights of today’s close games will be posted here once they conclude.
