The biggest takeaway from Game 1 was that Denver’s defense needed major reinforcements for the Brow’s scoring bombardment. It was more of the same for AD in Game 2, but this time, LBJ unloaded his stockpile of skillful shots as well. There was a lack of highlight-worthy happenings for Denver, and if this theme continues, they’ll soon find themselves in a familiar hole for the third time this postseason.

The drama down the stretch of Game 2 was a back-and-forth affair between debatably the league’s best center Jokic and the NBA’s best Big in Davis. To end the contest, the Joker was blistering hot with 11 consecutive points and AD flipped the switch to punch in 10 straight of his own, including a jaw-dropping 3-point buzzer-beater to help LA emerge victorious.

Illuminating the stat sheet for the umpteenth time in these playoffs, this year’s MVP runner-up LeBron James broke down Denver’s barricade to solicit 20 first half points (26 total) off hard-nosed takes inside and a smooth stroke from deep.

All night long, Alex Caruso was drawing legendary comparisons in conjunction with his incredible plays, one of them being an Air Jordan-esque jam on a fast-paced break that made the Lakers bench jump out of their seats in excitement.

For a two-guard, Danny Green is as gritty as they come, standing six-foot-six as a key cog from Toronto’s championship machine. Green eliminated Millsap’s hope of putting down a dynamite dunk with an even better hands-up rejection.

Two of the league’s marquee veterans who are future Hall of Famers connected in the second quarter, with a combined 30 years of experience shining through on a beautiful lob pass to an powerful flush.

Jamal Murray has yet to leave his imprint on this series like he did during Denver’s legendary 3-1 series comebacks in the first two rounds. Still averaging north of 26 PPG this postseason, the Kentucky alum has showed flashes of what makes him such a brilliant offensive player in the game today.

In typical Denver Nuggets fashion, the Mile High team dug a 16-point ditch which they would eventually overcome late in the fourth quarter. Even though they miraculously came back as they usually do, their hearts were broken on a final shot of desperation by Anthony Davis who brought the house down with a ridiculous triple as time expired to give LA a comfortable 2-0 lead in the series, needing just two wins to clinch a Finals appearance.
