The dramatics of the NBA postseason continued with two enticing matchups that saw superstars rise to the challenge. Jayson Tatum made the proper plays to extend Boston’s series lead to 2-0, Jokic and Mitchell fought it out in the finale of their seven-game saga, and Robert Williams III wielded his way to another highlights-worthy showing.

Tuesday’s Game 7 boiled down to a low scoring fatigue-filled matchup, but Nikola Jokic‘s fire would not be extinguished as he punched his team’s ticket to the next round with the game-winning hook shot over the NBA’s most respected low post defender.

Donovan Mitchell then had a chance to tie or take the lead, but Gary Harris, who played his first 2020 postseason game in Game 6, caused a turnover from behind, which led to Torrey Craig somehow missing a layup from point blank range, giving the Jazz one last opportunity to win the game as Mike Conley 3PA went from legendary to crushing as it clanked out.

In an extraordinary effort, Jayson Tatum resumed his playoff bubble display of dominance by single-handedly overcoming the Raptors’ well-balanced play with free-throw line perfection (14-14 FT) and sweet-shooting inside and out.

Marcus Smart decided to turn the 4th quarter of Tuesday’s Game 2 into a 3PT shooting exhibition as he fired in five 3s in the final period, including three 3s on consecutive possessions. All in all, Smart had 16 straight points when the Celtics needed him most and he came up big for Boston.

The slippery Kemba Walker showed off his expert combination of footwork and dribble moves with this vintage step-back to connect on a mid-range jumper in crunch-time which moved his squad to a pivotal 2-0 series lead.

Robert Williams III has been a recurring theme in the daily highlight reel and this time he had a perfect first quarter from the field and great anticipation on a powerful put-back jam as he continues to prove himself as one of the league’s most underrated rim runners.

At times during Tuesday, it was the Michael Porter Jr. show as he routinely cultivated eye-catching plays such as this heads-up feed for the easy deuce inside and this terrific take to the hole where he converted through traffic on the front end of this and-one opportunity.

Jordan Clarkson went 0 to 100 real quick on this decisive finish above the rim to get the hoop plus the harm in transition, but his efforts as a reserve didn’t suffice as Utah ultimately  came up short.

Pascal Siakam had a rather disappointing overall shooting performance Tuesday, however, he managed to make the most of the first half’s final seconds sinking a deep three-point jumper as the horn sounded.
