Tampa’s roster is just as deep as any team in the league, with ten future starting-caliber pitchers in the rotation and a whopping 19 hitters projected to be starting-caliber by 2025. Loaded with this much depth, the Rays are as likely as any team to pull off a midseason blockbuster trade for a pending free agent who likely will only cost the small-market team a little financial investment.
