Expectations for an aging San Francisco Giants roster were not particularly high entering this season. Fast forward six months and the Giants have not only exceeded expectations and surpassed 100 wins but set a new franchise record for home runs, reaching 236 well before the last game of the season. With the Los Angeles Dodgers breathing down their neck, the Giants will have to take advantage of their historic power-hitting if they wish to transform this remarkable season into a deep playoff run.

  • San Francisco Giants have recorded their most HR (236) during a season in franchise history
  • SF Giants became the 1st MLB team to reach 100 wins during a season for the 1st time since 1913
  • Giants tied a franchise record for road wins during a season (53) in the San Francisco era

SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS HAVE NEVER HAD AS MANY HEAVY HITTERS AS THEY DO NOW

COLORS KEY | FULL GIANTS OUTLOOK

Regardless of the expectations going into this season, the San Francisco Giants have illustrated a consistent ability to make plays and score runs. Indeed, they do not appear to rely on a single player, as they boast more heavy hitters in their roster than ever before with scary lineup from top to bottom. In fact, 10 different Giants players have hit 10 or more home runs this season. It has yet to be seen whether this will translate to the playoffs, but San Francisco has had one of the best Giants seasons ever either way.
