1992: Atlanta Falcons traded QB Brett Favre to the Green Bay Packers for a 1st round pick just 1 year after drafting him in the 2nd round. Favre led Green Bay to multiple Super Bowls, winning it all in 1996 amidst a 3-year dominant run where he won 3 straight MVPs

1982: Houston Rockets C Moses Malone secured an NBA record 21 offensive rebounds in a victory over the Seattle SuperSonics

1970: Atlanta Hawks scored the most 2nd-half points (97) in NBA history during a victory over the San Diego Rockets. Atlanta’s record still stands today

1968: The now-famous Madison Square Garden IV in New York City officially opened its doors
