2001: Toronto Raptors set an NBA record with 23 total blocks in a victory over the Atlanta Hawks, led by PF Keon Clark‘s 12 blocks (t-most in the 21st century). Toronto’s 23 blocks still stands as the NBA team record

1998: NFL owners unanimously approved an expansion team for Cleveland that would become the 2nd coming of the Cleveland Browns, debuting in 1999

1993: One of the most notorious brawls in NBA history, 6 players were ejected from a game between the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns — John Starks (NYK), Anthony Mason (NYK), Greg Anthony (NYK), and Doc Rivers (NYK), Danny Ainge (PHX), and Kevin Johnson (PHX)

1979: As the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets replayed the final 17:50 of their bout from 11/8/78, C Harvey Catchings and SG Ralph Simpson had been traded from Philly to New Jersey while PG Eric Money and SG Al Skinner had been sent the other way. The 4 became the only players in professional sports history to play for both teams in a single game
