October 14th, 2021 was highlighted by the Dodgers beating the Giants in a nail-biting NLDS Game 5 to move onto the NLCS. Max Scherzer came in for the save after Cody Bellinger delivered the GW-RBI in the top of the 9th. The game ended in controversy after Wilmer Flores was rung up on a checked swing that didn’t in fact cross the plate (but wasn’t reviewable). Tom Brady led the Bucs over Philly on TNF, the Cardinals fired Manager Mike Shildt, and Washington announced Sean Taylor’s #21 jersey will be retired.
