2019: Reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes became the fastest player ever to reach 7,500 career PASS YDS in his 24th game and suffered a broken kneecap in the same blowout TNF win over the Denver Broncos. Mahomes would only miss 2 games before returning and leading the Kansas City Chiefs to their 1st Super Bowl in 50 years, when QB Len Dawson also suffered a knee injury before returning and leading KC to their 1st Championship

2018: In Game 4 of the ALCS up 2-1, the Boston Red Sox held onto a 8-6 lead in the bottom of the 9th inning with the bases loaded when Alex Bregman hit a line drive to left field where Andrew Benintendi made a 5-star diving catch to end the game and helped Boston take a commanding 3-1 lead

2004: Down 3-0 in the ALCS to to the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox won Game 4 on a walk-off base hit in extra innings by DH David Ortiz after pinch-runner Dave Roberts scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the 9th off HOF RP Mariano Rivera

1996: Beating the St. Louis Cardinals 15-0 in Game 7 of the NLCS (the most lopsided blowout in postseason history), the Atlanta Braves successfully completed their comeback from a 3-1 series deficit

1989: Just minutes before the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics were scheduled to begin Game 3 of the World Series, an earthquake hit the Bay Area; the Series would resume 11 days later

1987: For the very 1st time in history, a World Series game was held indoors (Minnesota Metrodome) as the Minnesota Twins would defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 10-1 in Game 1

1983: Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins combined for the highest-scoring Monday Night Football game ever (since surpassed by KC-LAR in 2018); the Packers won 48-47 as the teams accumulated over 1,000 yards of total offense
