Most colleges take their football talent scanning very seriously. As a result, such colleges often produce the highest numbers of NFL players. In fact, the majority of professional football players in the NFL often come from around five to ten colleges around the country. These schools compete on a national level and show high football results each year.

Sure enough, each high school athlete wants to be accepted into such a school. So, let’s see the top five colleges that produce the most popular NFL players.

1. University of Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide has had six national victories over the past 15 years. That’s a true record-breaker in college football. Of course, such great achievements haven’t missed the NFL recruiters’ attention. Currently, 52 NFL players come from the University of Alabama. Minkah Fitzpatrick and Derrick Henry are probably the most famous names of the recent season.

2. University of Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs have been producing dozens of NFL plates in the past seven years. Just this year alone, the NFL has 42 players from the University of Georgia. That’s quite an impressive number. The college aims high with its football ambitions. It holds quite high records in conference championships, national rankings, and even post-season bowl games.

Fair to say the school doesn’t miss a chance to test and strengthen its athletes. The list of the most famous alumni in the NFL includes Mo Lewis, who played 13 seasons with the Jets, five-time Pro Bowl player Jake Scott, and Fran Tarkenton, the Pro Football Hall of Famer. Not to mention CB Champ Bailey who was one of the greatest NFL Cornerbacks ever.

3. Ohio State University

With 52 active players in 2022, Ohio State University has already won the talent scan competition. However, their luck doesn’t end there. Six of the former Ohio students also made it to the top 100 NFL players of 2022. So, Nick and Joey Bosa, Corey Linsley, Cameron Heyward, Marshon Lattimore, and Denzel Ward have already made history and got noticed during the past season. So, who knows what achievements we should expect from them in 2023?

4. Louisiana State University

Did you know the LSU Tigers have over 800 wins in football team history? That’s a lot. The list of professional football players who came from LSU is really a long one. Just this year, the NFL drafted 52 former LSU players. The Vikings’ Justin Jefferson and  Jamal Adams are among the most promising players of the current generation. However, the school has also produced such legends as Alan Faneca, Jim Taylor, and Johnny Robinson, all of who have earned a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

5. Notre Dame

Notre Dame takes its football history very seriously. Every year, the college picks some of the best talents around the country and leads them straight to professional football sports. No wonder that for decades, this school has always produced some of the highest numbers of currently playing NFL athletes. This year, 37 former Notre Dame students played in the NFL.

Keep in mind this school enrolls around 13,000 students each year. So their talent pool must be really concentrated. Also, ten NFL players from Notre Dame have earned a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. These are such players as Jerome Bettis, Joe Montana, and, of course, Chicago Bears’ legend George Connor.
