All-time great Running Back Fred Taylor turned 47 years old on January 27th, 2023, so it’s a perfect time to look at the top 5 Jacksonville Jaguars players of all time with him highlighting the list.
The Jacksonville Jaguars were established in 1995 as an expansion team and are one of the younger franchises in the NFL. They play in the TIAA Bank Field, which they have used for every game in their young history. The Jaguars have just one player in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, their first draft pick ever, Tony Boselli, who spurred them into early success during his special career.
Jacksonville has never won a Super Bowl and is one of the few teams to have never competed in football’s most coveted game. Due to its rough history, the Jaguars seem like a losing franchise, but they are young and have time to improve as they find their place in the league. Donning their very unique colors of teal, black, and gold, they look to keep building their culture to that of a winner.
The Jaguars enjoyed an extremely successful start to their franchise, where they appeared in the Postseason four out of their first five years. However, they failed to reach the Super Bowl during this run and embarked on a difficult stretch in which they won just three Playoff games. The Jaguars will be looking to pull themselves out of the NFL’s basement and build a winning culture. Honorable mention includes: ED Calais Campbell, DL John Henderson, DL Marcus Stroud, CB Rashean Mathis, and CB Jalen Ramsey. Jaguars fans hope QB Trevor Lawrence and ED Josh Allen will join this list at some point as well.
