October 9, 2022 was highlighted by the Mets having the worst winner-take-all hitting display ever, being held to one hit by Joe Musgrove as San Diego advanced to face the Dodgers in the NLDS. The Packers and Giants played in the best matchup in NFL London history as Big Blue won 27-22. The Bengals and Steelers suffered two different types of heartbreak, as Pittsburgh was routed by Buffalo 38-3, while CIN lost to Baltimore by two on Justin Tucker’s last second FG. Atlanta also painfully lost to Tampa Bay because of an awful roughing-the-passer call.

Carson Wentz had a tragic game-losing interception vs. Tennessee, Cameron Dantzler stripped away Chicago for a game-sealing turnover, and the Chargers beat Cleveland after rookie K Cade York missed a GW-FG from 54 yards out. Taysom Hill did it all in the Saints’ win vs. Seattle, Breece Hall had one of the best games by a Jets rookie ever (197 YScm), and the Cowboys defense shut down the reigning NFL champions. Dameon Pierce missed more tackles than any game PFF has ever tracked and the Detroit Lions lost 29-0 to New England.
