Pro Sports Outlook’s debut show of “The Countdown” begins with ranking the top 5 greatest athletes of all time. ‘The Countdown’ aims to be the #1 sports rankings show in the world where debates get settled and fans are given the power to voice their own opinions.

This list isn’t about the greatest athletes from a physical standpoint or best winners or most accomplished players. It’s about overall greatness, what they have done in their sport and how they have dominated the rest of the competition. You’ll see across this list, it’s spanning across a bunch of different sports so it doesn’t matter if it’s basketball, football, or baseball, this is about the best ATHLETES of all time. It could feature gold medals, world cup championships, or Super Bowl titles.

The men and women who earned their spot on this ranking have put their livelihoods on the line to compete against the greatest competition and proved that they are truly the best of the best at what they do. They’ve overcome adversity to reach a level of unprecedented success that has had a lasting impact on their profession. Honorable mentions includes: Wayne Gretzky, Muhamad Ali, Lionel Messi, Tiger Woods, and LeBron James. Patrick Mahomes, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Mike Trout also have a legitimate chance to one day crack the all-time athletes list.
