The Washington Commanders updated Team Outlook after releasing QB Carson Wentz following just one season with the organization. By cutting the 30-year-old, Washington saves $26.2M against their salary cap. To acquire Wentz, Washington traded two third-round picks and swapped second-round picks with the Indianapolis Colts last offseason. The Commanders are also releasing DB Bobby McCain, who started 16 games in 2022. If McCain is designated as a post-June 1 release, Washington saves $4.4M.
