San Francisco hadn’t been able to convert on a single 3rd-and-15+ all season long. However, on the game-winning drive against the Rams, they executed successfully in those situations twice, which proved to be the difference after Gould’s GW-FG eliminated the reigning NFC champs.
For the first time in over a decade, the Pats were at risk of not winning the AFC East this late in the season, but after a clutch goal line stand, the Pats are back on track to get ANOTHER bye in the AFC Playoffs.
James Harden has been on a scoring tear as good as almost anyone alive has ever seen, dating back to last year. He’ll continue to break records at the historic rate he’s going.
The Houston Texans forced 4 turnovers in just the first half in what could’ve been a blowout, but turned into a hard fought battle. After the victory, they officially clinched the AFC South for the 6th time in the last 9 years.
The ChiSox inking Dallas Keuchel was the biggest headline of the day, but Detroit’s low-risk pickups of 1B C.J. Cron & 2B Jonathan Schoop warrant attention as well.
UPDATE: Chicago White Sox sign 2015 Cy Young Winning SP Dallas Keuchel to a 3y/$55.5M deal with a $18.5M vesting option for 2023 (total 4y/$74M) based on IP https://t.co/FlI6lybS0G
Spencer Dinwiddie has flourished with Kyrie Irving dealing with injuries for the majority of the season, and led the Nets on a 18-pt comeback to overcome Trae Young’s 47 points in Brooklyn.
Josh Allen & Jared Goff could’ve won the biggest game for each of their seasons on Saturday, but ultimately fell short. Still, it’s hard to completely blame them when they were making throws like this to keep their team in it.
While the more acclaimed Antetokounmpo, Giannis recorded a triple-double, it was his brother that also shined on Saturday with this electric put-back dunk.
It wasn’t too long ago that Kawhi Leonard was suiting up for the San Antonio Spurs. On Saturday, he made another appearance in Texas and handled business just like old times.
#PlayerOfTheDay James Harden continues his historic scoring season by passing Elgin Baylor for the 4th most 40-pt games of all-time, trailing Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, & Kobe. He combined with Russ to score 77 points & 17 assists in a dominant dub over PHX https://t.co/6qQ7Hy2cN0
