Here is the best from December 22, 2019:

Thanks to a crucial 4th down pass break up by Sidney Jones in the endzone, the Eagles held onto to their one-possession lead and now take sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

Michael Thomas has had a phenomenal season that will be remembered as the record-breaking reception season where NFL defenders literally can’t guard Mike.

The NFL understandably takes most of the headlines on Sunday, but the Raptors legendary comeback was worthy of a top spot on the Best in Sports, especially when considering all of their recent injuries. Guys are stepping up for the reigning champs.

Hyun-Jin Ryu finished 3rd in the NL Cy Young race last year for the Dodgers, and will now take his talents north of the border to be the ace of the Toronto Blue Jays, who also added Travis Shaw on Sunday who’s looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2019 season.

The 2019 NFL MVP continued to set records on Sunday and helped lead the Ravens to their 11th straight win for the #1 seed in the AFC.

The future of the Giants franchise is Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and the top-5 pick they’ll be adding in a few months. If Sunday was any indication, the Giants have hit on 2/3.

In a game that meant more for the draft than anything, these two teams were giving it all they had. After Fitzpatrick scored 4 TDs, Andy Dalton would go on to tie the game up with a Hail Mary to take it to OT.

Jayson Tatum is quickly evolving into the superstar the Celtics envisioned him becoming when they drafted him third overall in 2017.

The Steelers now need to beat the hottest team in the NFL and for the Titans to lose in Week 17 for a Playoff apperance after their Week 16 went horrifically. Not only did they lose to the lowly Jets (Le’Veon Bell’s new team), but they also dealt with major injuries to their QB and other key contributors.
