The Dallas Cowboys did not make it easy for themselves on Sunday evening in Foxborough, but they were able to pull out a 35-29 OT win over the New England Patriots. It marked the Cowboys’ fifth straight win and fourth straight with 35+ points. Their offense has been terrific, led by MVP and CPOY candidate Dak Prescott, a resurgent season by RB Ezekiel Elliott  and dynamic WRs CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper.

Two of their high-scoring outputs have come against quality defenses in the Panthers and Patriots, which makes it even harder to think of how anyone can really stop this offense. This is all pretty much without key contributor Michael Gallup as well, which means this team can become ever tougher to defend once he returns soon.

DALLAS COWBOYS’ OFFENSE IS AS GOOD AS ANY NFL TEAM IN THE LEAGUE

COLORS KEY | FULL COWBOYS OUTLOOK

This may be the season where the Dallas Cowboys really start to unlock their true potential and show major culture changes, especially on offense. Coming off a gruesome ankle injury last season, quarterback Dak Prescott has been spectacular to start this season. He has a solid backfield of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard, as well as great receivers in Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb, who is having a breakout season to this point.

Despite the injuries on offense last season, an almost league-worst defense plagued the Cowboys last season, as they missed the playoffs. This year, new DC Dan Quinn has turned around the defense, and CB Trevon Diggs is putting up historic numbers, which is giving the offense momentum and short fields. This combination of cohesion and leadership has powered the Dallas Cowboys to a 5-1 start. They are dominating the woeful NFC East, and their play could lead to much more down the line.
