Joe Mixon was drafted 48th overall in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals out of Oklahoma. In his rookie year, Mixon only started in seven games out of the 14 he played but racked up 913 yards and four touchdowns. In his second season, he started in 13 games and got 1464 all-purpose yards along with nine touchdowns for a strong sophomore season.

Unfortunately, during 2020, Mixon suffered a foot injury in Week 6, sidelining him for the rest of the year and preventing him from continuing to break franchise records. Longtime Bengals RB Giovani Bernard, who split time with Mixon, signed with Tampa Bay, so Mixon will get more snaps with a young team full of talent that will give Mixon plenty of opportunities to shine in Cincy.

  • Only player with 3,000+ RUSH YDS & 1,000+ REC YDS during their 1st 4 seasons in Cincinnati Bengals history
  • Only 1 fumble since 2018, with 733 touches
  • 2nd Bengals player with 2 seasons of 1000+ RUSH YDS in their 1st 3 years

JOE MIXON HAS A CHANCE TO BE THE BEST BENGALS RB IN HISTORY

After just four years in the league, Mixon looks to be one of the best running backs that the Bengals have ever had. The Bengals have only had three backs record 1000+ rushing yards three times, and Mixon has already done it twice in four seasons. Corey Dillon currently holds the franchise record with six. With more talent surrounding Mixon, he has the potential to have multiple 1000-yard seasons and become the Bengals’ greatest running back of all-time.
