Brooklyn was already without a member of their star trio, James Harden, and then also lost Kyrie Irving early on in Game 4. This left Kevin Durant to fend for himself and lead the team. Scoring only 96 points, the Nets were clearly missing some offensive firepower, and Milwaukee was able to tie the series at two games a piece. Giannis had 34 points to lead all scorers, and the Bucks successfully defended home court. The series has now turned into a best of three, with Brooklyn’s high-risk roster coming to light due to uncertainty with their stars’ availability.

  • James Harden has less than 1 MIN over the course of the entire conference semifinals series
  • KD, Irving, and Harden started together in only 8 GP during the regular season
  • Nets are 5-1 when their star trio all starts, and 1-2 when they don’t this postseason
  • Kevin Durant’s 2 rings both came as a teammate to 2x NBA MVP Steph Curry plus All-Stars Klay Thompson & Draymond Green

IT’S TIME FOR KEVIN DURANT TO PROVE HE CAN WIN WITHOUT A SUPER TEAM

COLORS KEY | FULL NETS OUTLOOK

With James Harden and Kyrie Irving’s returns unknown, all the pressure rides on Kevin Durant’s shoulders. Brooklyn is a championship or bust team this year, and KD has the chance to prove himself. The Durantula controversially left OKC for Golden State in 2016, and it was seen as the easy route despite winning two championships and two NBA Finals MVPs in the Bay.

He won two Finals as a part of one of the most dominant rosters the league has ever seen. Now, he’s on another super team, but his partners in crime are facing injury problems, so this is his chance to prove all of the doubters wrong and cement that he can win without a super team like other all-time players have done so in the past.
