Rookie Tight Ends don’t often make a significant impact to the success of their team. Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts continues to change that narrative with a strong 163-yard performance against the Miami Dolphins. Pitts is quickly becoming one of the best weapons in the league already and is in the midst of the greatest rookie Tight End season of all-time thanks to his ability to get open and accumulate yards after the catch.

KYLE PITTS IS IN THE MIDST OF THE GREATEST ROOKIE TE SEASON OF ALL-TIME

Kyle Pitts is living up to the hype after being drafted in the 1st round of the 2021 NFL draft. He is having one of the greatest rookie Tight End seasons of all time in his 1st year with the Atlanta Falcons as he’s on pace to record the most receiving yards by a rookie TE ever (in 16 or 17 games). Pitts is already one of the best rookie pass-catchers in the NFL, along with fellow top 10 pick Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals. While Tight Ends aren’t often picked in the first round, Kyle Pitts is having a season to remember.

If Pitts continues to play like he has this season as an elite Tight End, the Atlanta Falcons could continue to have a strong offense despite losing the franchise’s all-time leading receiver Julio Jones in the offseason. For the 1st time in forever, the Falcons have an elite RB in Cordarrelle Patterson. Calvin Ridley is a solid presence on the outside and Russell Gage is shifty in the slot. The Falcons need to find their Quarterback of the future to have a future prolific offense for years to come, considering Matt Ryan is 36.
