WR Marvin Harrison was drafted 19th overall by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1996 NFL Draft. Though his first few seasons in the league were fairly productive, his career really took off with the arrival of QB Peyton Manning, whom the Colts selected with the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. During their 11 seasons together in Indy, the duo developed incredible chemistry and will likely go down as the best QB-WR combo in NFL history.

MARVIN HARRISON AND PEYTON MANNING WERE THE GREATEST QB-WR COMBO EVER

The 1996 draft was full of talented receivers such as Terrell Owens and Joe Horn, but Marvin Harrison emerged as one of the most productive pass catchers in his class. Over the course of 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, the Philadelphia native went to eight Pro Bowls and earned 1st-Team All-Pro honors three times. He also holds Colts franchise records in nearly every statistical category for receivers.

One of the main reasons for Harrison’s success catching the ball was his close relationship with the guy throwing it. HOFer Peyton Manning played with many accomplished receivers throughout his career, but the Syracuse product was by far his favorite target, as they connected for countless touchdowns and big plays during their time together. The two own multiple NFL records as a dynamic duo and have certainly established themselves as the greatest QB-WR combo ever.

  • Harrison’s production was insane
