Week 2 of the NFL season kicked off with the Battle of Ohio as the Cincinnati Bengals faced off against the Cleveland Browns in front of 6,000 fans at FirstEnergy Stadium. Coming off rather disappointing Week 1 losses, each team looked to pick up their first win of the season while being led by former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks drafted No.1 overall in Joe Burrow and Baker Mayfield, respectively. Burrow finished the game with a strong showing but couldn’t muster up a W against the Browns and their relentless attack on the Bengals’ defense.

Two No.1 picks faced off in the Battle of Ohio as 2020 ROY contender Joe Burrow had to match Baker Mayfield’s early 43-yard dime to OBJ for a TD. In addition to throwing his first career TD pass (and two more), Burrow followed up his NFL debut with an impressive game, showcasing his legs as well as his throwing skills by combining red zone precision with 4th down conversions multiple times while displaying his ability to make the kind of plays that win games (if CIN’s defense could stop the run).

Nick Chubb showed everyone why he is an elite RB, rushing for 124 yards and 2 TDs as the Browns make a statement on the ground and run all over the Bengals’ D with two high-level RBs. No worries for a lack of touches as they both ate in the Dawg Pound.

Viewed by many as one of the NFL’s more premier RB tandems, Kareem Hunt was also able to reach the end zone twice.

Cleveland’s defense held their own and made a number of key plays that led to their win over Cincinnati.

Despite throwing for over 300 yards and 3 TDs, rookie QB Joe Burrow’s valiant effort was not enough to keep up with the Browns’ dynamic running game as they take this one over the Bengals, 35-30.
