The Las Vegas Raiders have hit the ground running this season, winning their first three games, with two of them coming in thrilling overtime fashion. At the center of their success stands 3x Pro Bowler Derek Carr who has put together one MVP-caliber performance after another. Assisted by a solid supporting cast and a bit of luck, he has helped the Raiders turn heads with their 3-0 start to the season, all against 2020 playoff teams (unlike their division-rival in Denver).

Coming into the season, expectations were not particularly high for the Las Vegas Raiders. While there were many positives to take from the previous season, including a number of strong performances by Derek Carr and Darren Waller, the many disappointments in the past surrounding the Raiders franchise kept optimism low among non-Raiders fans around the league.
Just three games into the season, however, the Raiders have become the most surprising team in the NFL with a 3-0 start after beating three double-digit win teams from 2020. With Derek Carr leading the NFL in Passing Yards and the entire roster making one clutch play after another, Las Vegas looks to be a real threat this season and could reach the postseason for the first time since Jon Gruden’s return to the franchise.
