The Carolina Panthers updated Team Outlook after hiring ex-Broncos Defensive Coordinator Ejiro Evero to the same role. Denver and new HC Sean Payton agreed to let him out of his contract so he could pursue other jobs. In 2022, Evero’s defense overcame injuries to finish top 10 in total defense and rushing defense. By hiring Evero, Carolina will be making a defensive scheme change, as they’re switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 base defense. The 42-year-old Evero will be joining the staff of newly appointed HC Frank Reich.
