Game 4 action tipped off Monday and the quality of play was nothing short of extraordinary. Between Giannis flirting with a triple-double to down Orlando, CP3 topping his former team to tie the series, and the Lakers honoring Kobe Bryant with a huge win on Mamba Day, it was difficult to pick just one top play from the day when there were plenty of premier highlights.

King James conquered the day as he rewound the tape to his peak years to provide highlight after highlight, showing flashes that he still has the juice to put a team on this back when it matters as the Blazers entered this game with a must-win approach. In addition to being unstoppable from the field (10-12 FGM), LBJ showcased his world-class playmaking with precise passes to give L.A. a chokehold on the series at 3-1.

Well on his way to possibly being the league’s third-ever Defensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player, Giannis took full advantage of his raw athleticism and Orlando’s putrid defense to punish the Magic as he euro-stepped his team to a comfortable 3-1 series lead. He also became the first player to put up over 25 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in each of his first four playoff games.

While the Thunder’s Gilgeous-Alexander played prominent minutes to escape with the win, veteran leader CP3 and German backup PG Dennis Schroder can be to thank for giving tremendous efforts offensively. Paul provided 26 points and Schroder had a playoff career-high 30 as they sunk shots with high-degrees of difficulty on the backend of complex dribble moves.

Usually coming off the bench for relief, Goran Dragic led by example with wonderful interior takes in a starting role to extinguish Indiana as he capped off a fourth consecutive 20-point game for Miami’s fourth straight victory. On the other end of the spectrum, the Pacers become the fifth team in NBA history to make a first-round exit in five consecutive seasons.

The reigning Slam Dunk Contest Winner Derrick Jones Jr. reminded everyone of his ability to take off, even on a crowded runway, as he threw down a ferocious put-back jam with no regard for human life.

Beginning the game 1-9 from the field, Kris Middleton wasn’t resembling the All-Star level player that fans are accustomed to. Cut to the final frame of play, and he resurrected his talents to drop 18 of his 21 points on strong shooting to close out Game 4 with the win.

Bam Adebayo has acted as the Heat’s catalyst all throughout their series against Indiana and he capped off the 4-0 sweep on a high note with a couple of big-man-certified slams to spark Miami to victory.

Darius Bazley cocked back the ball on his way to this two-handed jam early in Game 4 to make it known the Thunder would not be an easy out as his squad evened up the series.
