A handful of exciting games took place during Week 11, while Rookie of the Year favorite QB Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending injury but sent out an optimistic tweet about his future. On the positive side of things, two overtime thrillers took place in Baltimore and Indianapolis, the Steelers continued their quest for 16-0, America’s Team won a shootout in Minnesota, and Patrick Mahomes did what he does best when it matters most to keep the champs’ amazing winning ways intact.

Key Fact: Derrick Henry is the 1st player with multiple overtime RUSH TD in a single season since at least 1991

Best Highlights:

  • Henry called game once again

  • Brown broke away from entire Ravens’ D

  • Andrews was making big plays

Most Valuable Intel: Titans’ big win put them right back on track

If there was a team the Titans needed to beat from their remaining schedule, the Ravens certainly fit the description. The Music City squad kept itself at the top of the AFC South alongside Indy to keep hopes of a division crown alive, and Baltimore slid back to a wild card spot. With big matchups against the Colts, Browns, and Packers remaining, Tennessee will continue to be tested but showed they can hang against top-tier teams. Next week’s matchup will most likely be the biggest indicator of who wins the AFC South; Indianapolis took down Tennessee earlier in the year, so another win would make winning the division much more difficult for the Titans. On the other hand, if Derrick Henry and co. can build off of this big win, his team will claim a lead over Philip Rivers’ squad in the playoff race and move them one step closer to hosting an AFC playoff game.

It may be hard to imagine, but the Baltimore Ravens ending up missing out on the playoffs is a real possibility. Following two gut-wrenching losses to fellow AFC opponents, they now sit at 6-4 which puts BAL in third behind PIT and CLE in the AFC North. They wouldn’t make the playoffs if the season ended today thanks to an incredibly stacked division and conference overall that has several teams fighting for the remaining Wild Card seeds (two from every AFC division).

Final Results: TEN (+220) d. @BAL (-270) 30-24 [TEN +6.0 | o50.5]

Key FactCleveland Browns had the longest drive in the NFL in terms of YDS (95) that led to 0 PTS since 2018

Best Highlights:

  • Takitaki cashed in on Wentz’s errant throw

  • CLE has 2 beasts in their backfield

  • Cox’s FF SK leads to 6 for PHI

Most Valuable IntelThe Browns defense is one of the most underrated units in the NFL

Running their way to a 7-3 record, the Browns are shaping into form with a defense that continues to play well. Myles Garrett returns to the lineup next week, which gives Cleveland’s underrated defense their best player (a DPOY candidate) back. Many people like to discuss the lack of success on offense despite an elite backfield duo. Mayfield’s mistakes have been under the microscope, but this defense doesn’t get enough credit. Coming off a great showing against the disappointing Eagles, CLE’s Week 14 game against the Ravens will undoubtedly be a major game that will likely decide who gets to play in January or could be on the outside looking in.

Final Results: @CLE (-138) d. PHI (+118) 22-17 [CLE -2.5 | u45.5]

Key FactDeshaun Watson is 1 of only 3 QBs with 240+ PASS YDS & 30+ RUSH YDS in a single half this season

Best Highlights:

  • Watson would not be denied on this TD scramble

  • Byrd’s magnificent over-the-shoulder TD grab

Most Valuable Intel: The Patriots’ playoff hopes are fading

The Patriots suffered yet another close loss, this time against the Texans, and hopes of a late-season playoff run are rapidly evaporating. In a hyper-competitive conference, the chances of three to four teams slipping up is incredibly minuscule and the odds of New England winning out to steal a playoff spot is even smaller. It’s all about building for their future now as the Foxborough Faithful seek to return next year with a more complete and competitive team.

Final Results: @HOU (+122) d. NE (-144) 27-20 [HOU +2.5 | u49.5]

Key Fact: Chase Claypool is the 1st WR to score 10 TD in his 1st 10 games in the Super Bowl era

Best Highlights:

  • Big Ben hit Claypool on a beautiful TD dime

  • Diontae Johnson somehow caught this

  • PIT forces 3 INTs in a dominant performance

Most Valuable Intel: Pittsburgh’s defense can win a Lombardi alone

If nothing else, the Steelers’ defense alone is capable of winning them a Super Bowl. Week after week, it continues to create turnovers and pressure on the quarterback as PIT currently ranks first in sacks per game and overall sacks. With very few serious threats remaining on the schedule this season, not only does the Steel City have chance to go undefeated but can ride its winning streak all the way to Tampa Bay.

Final Results: PIT (-520) d. @JAX (+400) 27-3 [PIT -11.0 | u47.5]

Key Fact: Joe Burrow is 1 of 4 QBs in NFL history with 5+ 300yd passing games in 1st 10 career games

Best Highlights:

  • McLaurin was blanketed and still caught it

  • Boyd made a spectacular spinning catch

Most Valuable IntelProtecting Joe Burrow for the future is priority No. 1

All season, Joe Burrow struggled to stay upright in large part due to a weak offensive line, and his lack of protection finally caught up to the Bengals as Burrow left today’s game on a cart with a torn ACL. If it wasn’t obvious before, it should be now: Cincinnati badly needs to provide its young QB with some O-Line help. His career will suffer without it, and the franchise will be significantly set back. Luckily, Cincy will have an opportunity in the 2021 NFL Draft to start fixing this issue with an opportunity to draft LT Penei Sewell out of Oregon and give Burrow some blindside protection while also investing money on free agents and draft picks to add talent up front to keep the franchise QB upright more going forward.

Final Results: @WAS (-118) d. CIN (+100) 20-9 [WAS -2.0 | u48.0]

Key Fact: Detroit Lions got shut out with Matthew Stafford at QB for the 1st time; DET’s 1st shutout since 2009

Best Highlights:

  • Ex-XFL star Walker dropped an NFL dime early

  • Walker got his 1st career PASS TD

Most Valuable Intel: P.J. Walker definitely belongs in the NFL, not XFL

Albeit in a very limited sample size, P.J. Walker has shown on game film that he can ball in the NFL. Coming from the XFL as it’s star player, Walker’s success story has continued into the NFL as he’s filled in for Teddy Bridgewater on occasion. Though he threw two picks, Walker finished with 258 PASS YDS and had his first career PASS TD in a small, yet promising performance against the Lions. It’s likely he won’t overtake Bridgewater as the starter anytime soon, but if he has a few more decent performances like in this game, QB-desperate teams may give him a look and consideration.

Final Results: @CAR (+144) d. DET (-172) 20-0 [CAR +3.0 | u47.0]

Key FactTaysom Hill joins Daunte Culpepper as only 2 players with 40+ RUSH YDS & 2+ RUSH TD in their 1st QB start in the Super Bowl era

Best Highlights:

  • Hill filled in nicely to carry NO to victory

  • Game-sealing INT from Janoris Jenkins

Most Valuable Intel: Maybe Hill is the answer to New Orleans’ QB situation

Whether or not he is the long-term replacement to Drew Brees is yet to be determined, but Taysom Hill has an opportunity to make his case over the next few weeks after putting on a show against Atlanta. A lot of doubt surrounded Hill as to whether he could step in behind center full-time and succeed overall, but he proved just that with three total TDs against the Falcons’ defense to help lead NOLA to a win in their first game this season without Brees. Truly a one-of-a-kind player, Hill now gets his chance to show if he can take over the reins at QB for the foreseeable future, and by the looks of it, that could very well happen based on the throws he was making in his starting debut.

Final Results: @NO (-178) d. ATL (+150) 24-9 [NO -3.5 | u49.5]

Key FactPhilip Rivers has the 2nd most 14+ PT comeback wins by a QB in NFL history (13), behind only Peyton Manning (16)

Best Highlights:

  • Colts win on GW-FG following MVS’ fumble

  • Rodgers hit MVS on a deep ball to set up OT

  • Pittman was off to the races on 1st career TD

  • Rivers dime to Burton kickstarted the comeback

  • Kirksey’s tipped INT leads to 6 for the Pack

  • Ya-Sin made a perfect play on the ball

Most Valuable Intel: Green Bay has to shore up on defense to make a playoff run

The offense certainly deserves blame when figuring out who’s responsible for GB’s loss to IND after committing four turnovers, but the defense has been this team’s Achilles heel all season and was once again against the Colts. After starting the game by forcing two turnovers and bringing a 28-14 lead into halftime, the Packers’ D could not get off the field in the third quarter as Indy dominated the clock while scoring 17 unanswered points. This kind of play will not be ineptitude on defense won’t be capable of making a deep playoff run against the NFC’s premium teams even with a high-scoring offense in place. Fortunately for the Pack, its remaining schedule is relatively easy, so securing the top seed and a playoff bye is still very possible. However, changes will have to be made on the defensive side of the ball to turn that into a reality.

Final Results: @IND (-130) d. GB (+110) 34-31 [IND -1.5 | o52.5]

Key Fact: Adam Thielen is the only player in Vikings history with 11+ REC TD in the 1st 10 gms of a season, surpassing Randy Moss (2003)

Best Highlights:

  • CeeDee somehow caught this

  • Thielen put his skills on display

  • Dalton to Dalton for the win

  • Jefferson making case for OROY

  • Pollard went yard to regain lead

  • Kendricks uses incredible athleticism to make INT

Most Valuable IntelMinnesota doesn’t have a 2nd half run in them

At 1-5, most of the collective NFL world wrote off the Minnesota Vikings and declared them as likely suitors for Justin Fields or Trey Lance in next years’ draft. Suddenly however, MIN went on a three-game winning streak and looked like a team that could potentially make a run and steal a spot into the playoffs. Those hopes then came crashing down on Sunday after suffering a defeat to a lowly Cowboys team which almost guarantees them on the outside looking in at season’s end. It’s technically possible for them to still run the table, but it would probably benefit this team more to focus on trying to contend next season with a more experienced and improved group considering their 4-6 record in 2020.

Final Results: DAL (+260) d. @MIN (-320) 31-28 [DAL +7.0 | o49.5]

Key Fact: Tua was 1 win away from joining Big Ben as the only 2 QBs to start their careers 4-0 since 1980

Best Highlights:

  • Simmons’ clutch INT sealed the deal

  • Gordon broke through for his 2nd TD

Most Valuable Intel: Tua will deal with bumps in the road

After being on Cloud 9 the last couple of weeks, Tua was pulled back down against Denver when he was benched for Ryan Fitzpatrick. HC Brian Flores already declared Tua will regain the starting job next week, so there’s no need for panic; he will naturally face bumps in the road, especially in his rookie season. He’ll deal with adversity when it comes, but he is still firmly entrenched as the starter and future of the franchise. Hopefully, this will be a valuable lesson for him after making foolish comments on his brief success thus far in the NFL.

Final Results: @DEN (+180) d. MIA (-215) 20-13 [DEN +4.0 | u46]

Key Fact: Justin Herbert has the most 3+ PASS TD games in a season (5) by a rookie in the Super Bowl Era

Best Highlights:

  • Williams got free for the score

  • LAC got an easy 6 off an INT

  • Herbert is a deep pass extraordinaire

  • Flacco let it soar like a jet

  • Herbert flaunted his laser arm

Most Valuable Intel: Jets can be penciled in as the 3rd 0-16 team ever

Misery continues for the New York Jets as the reality of 0-16 becomes more real every day. Significantly inferior to basically every single one of their remaining opponents, winning a game will most likely only occur if one of these teams (Dolphins, Raiders, Seahawks, Rams, Browns, & Patriots), has a complete off performance when facing the clear-cut worst team in the league. Who knows, maybe the Jets will pull it together for once and wi…just kidding, that probably won’t happen. Next step: providing Trevor Lawrence with a better situation than Sam Darnold had.

Final Results: @LAC (-450) d. NYJ (+350) 34-28 [NYJ +10.0 | o47]

Key Fact: This game featured the 1st go-ahead PASS TD in the final 2 min of regulation in Patrick Mahomes’ career

Best Highlights:

  • Mahomes did what he does best: win

  • Ageless wonder Witten put LV ahead late

  • Even when the defender gets a hand on it

  • Agholor caught a beautiful toe-drag score

  • Not many other QBs can do this

  • Josh Jacobs trucking LBs like it’s nothing

Most Valuable Intel: Nobody’s better than Patrick Mahomes with his back against the wall

Seeing a comeback win conducted by Patrick Mahomes has basically become a regular occurrence and isn’t really anything new at this point. Give him an inch, and he’ll take a mile. As long as he’s standing upright on the field, Mahomes Magic is basically inevitable. He made the final drive with less than 2 minutes left look way too easy with completion after completion and simply matriculating the ball down the field. Players like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson were known for their clutch antics, but the leader for 2020 MVP is at his best when the game’s on the line and that’s what makes him such an unbeatable threat.

Final Results: KC (-360) d. @LV (+290) 35-31 [LV +7.5 | o56.5]

Key Fact: Russell Wilson surpassed Peyton Manning for the most wins (93) by a QB in their 1st 9 seasons in NFL History

Best Highlights:

  • Dunlap put the finishing touch on SEA’s Win

  • Russell Wilson turns dimes into points

  • This pass from K1 was perfect

  • Edmonds saw a ghost town in the end zone

Most Valuable Intel: Carlos Dunlap is the x-factor to Seattle’s Super Bowl aspirations

The story of the Seahawks this year has been that their offense is great, but the defense leaves a lot to be desired. Acquiring Jamal Adams was undoubtedly helpful, but the defense was in need of one more piece to complement Adams and Bobby Wagner. Enter Carlos Dunlap, acquired via trade after he wanted out of Cincinnati, to help shore up the Hawks’ lackluster pass rush.

Dunlap slid in right off the bat and made an impact almost immediately, making nine tackles and three sacks in two full games, including the game-sealing sack of Kyler Murray tonight. Now with another key piece on the defense and a soft remaining schedule, SEA has a legitimate shot to make it to February thanks in big part to a change of scenery for its newest addition.

Final Results: @SEA (-163) d. ARI (+147) 28-21 [SEA -3.0 | u56.5]

Key Fact: Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp are the 1st pair of Rams players to each have 10+ REC in the same game

Best Highlights:

  • Fuller was the hero for LAR

  • Evans forced his way into the end zone

  • Godwin soared to 6 after key INT by Whitehead

  • Kupp’s shiftiness on full display

  • Woods ran a perfect screen to set up FG

Most Valuable Intel: Brady is no longer a lock to pull off clutch comeback wins or game-winning drives

Tonight’s game was added proof that Tom Brady is not the god-like clutch performer he was during his days in New England. He was seeing ghosts on both of his interceptions, which weren’t even close to his intended receivers, with one costing TB the game on their final drive. If this were vintage Brady, that 2:40 left on the clock down 3 would’ve been a lock to end in a Brady-led scoring drive with the game on the line. That isn’t the case anymore for Tompa Bay.

With such a bevy of weapons surrounding him, it’s hard to believe Brady has struggled as much as he has, although it might make sense based on previous comments from his head coach. Even though this could be a contributing factor to why Brady hasn’t looked the same, it’s fair to say a lot of his struggles this year have been the result of a number of factors such as age (43) and being on a new team in a new system for the first time in 20 years. He can still win more games than most NFL QBs, but they don’t all come as easy as they once did for him.

Final Results: LAR (+152) d. @TB (-148) 27-24 [LAR +4.0 | o47.5]
