PSO Rankings

1
QB PATRICK MAHOMES (CHIEFS)

PATRICK MAHOMES FACTS:

– Most TOTAL YDS (5,608) in 1 season ever

– No WR had more than 1,000 REC YDS or 4 REC TD

– Led NFL in PASS YDS (5,250) & PASS TD (41) in 2022

Patrick Mahomes will win his second NFL MVP award after a historic 2022 season. While many pundits questioned whether he would struggle after losing Tyreek Hill, Mahomes proved he can dominate no matter who’s out there. He makes plays out of the pocket that no DC can plan for and has elevated the Chiefs into the team to beat on an annual basis.

2
WR JUSTIN JEFFERSON (VIKINGS)

JUSTIN JEFFERSON FACTS:

– Led the NFL in REC (128) & REC YDS (1,809)

– Broke Randy Moss‘ Vikings season REC YDS record

– Most REC (324) & REC YDS (4,825) in 1st 3 seasons ever

Justin Jefferson took his game to another level in 2022, helping lead the Vikings to the Playoffs as the NFL’s new WR1. Despite non-elite QB play in Minneapolis, that hasn’t stopped “El Jefe” from commanding double teams and using his A1 combination of route running and hands to break the game open at any time and make spectacular catches look routine.

3
EDGE NICK BOSA (49ERS)

NICK BOSA FACTS:

– Led the NFL in Sacks (18.5) during 2022

– Was the top player on the NFL’s No.1 defense (16.3 PPG)

– Won ’19 DROY award & unanimous favorite for ’22 DPOY

Iron sharpens iron. As Trent Williams and Nick Bosa squared off in practice throughout the weeks, they both shined on Sundays in the Bay. Previously known as a “Baby Bosa”, Nick made it clear he’s not taking a back seat to his brother Joey or anyone else as the clear frontrunner for the 2022 NFL DPOY, emerging as the league’s most impactful defensive player.

4
LT TRENT WILLIAMS (49ERS)

TRENT WILLIAMS FACTS:

– PFF’s No.1 ranked OT in 2022 (93.0 grade)

– Led NFL with a 92.9 PFF run-blocking grade in 2022

– Helped 49ers end 2022 on a 10-game winning streak

A monster in the trenches, Trent Williams dominates the opposition, pancakes dudes left and right, and even blocks two players during one play at times. He’s the best Offensive Lineman in the league and is the catalyst for the 49ers’ ferocious rush offense that relies on him to lead at the point of attack.

5
QB JALEN HURTS (EAGLES)

JALEN HURTS FACTS:

– Had the 2nd most RUSH TD (13) in 1 season by a QB

– 2nd fewest INT (6) of any starting QB with 12+ GS in 2022

– Eagles owned PFF’s No.1 ranked Offensive Line in 2022

Not even the most optimistic Eagles fan could’ve predicted Hurts cracking a list like this before the season but that’s exactly what he did after having an MVP-caliber campaign. Even before getting hurt down the stretch, he proved he’s the real deal with an improved passing prowess to combine with his historic rushing production.
