As Cincinnati Bengals fans celebrate Evan McPherson on his 23rd birthday, check out some of the best records to know about the already legendary Kicker.

Evan McPherson was drafted in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. McPherson had high expectations coming into the league after being the only Kicker selected in the 2021 draft class. McPherson earned the nickname “Shooter” after a fantastic rookie performance filled with highlight plays, consistent long distance conversions, and clutch field goals as a first-year Bengal.

The 23-year-old Alabama native chose to play college football at the University of Florida, where he spent three seasons with the Gators. In his time as a Gator, “Shooter” set multiple SEC records for career field goal percentage (85%) and most extra point kicks made (149-of-150). The 5’11” Kicker got a lot of attention from the NFL, which led to his decision to forgo his senior season and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft where he put up incredible stats right out of the gate. .

McPherson was thrown into the center stage after signing a four-year rookie contract with Queen City. The franchise was desperate for a steady and reliable placekicker, and #2 fulfilled this role right out of the gate after an awe-inspiring first-year performance. McPherson has proven day in and day out that he is a young legend in the NFL after a historic first postseason with plenty of astonishing records to already show for it.
