Here is the best from January 13, 2020:

After a fantastic performance in the College Football National Championship, the attention now turns to the NFL Draft where the Cincinnati Bengals will likely choose Joe Burrow with their first overall pick. From a projected late-round pick entering the season to now the unanimous first overall prospect, it’s been a hell of a ride for the Louisiana legend.

One of the biggest stories of the day, and in recent baseball history is the sign-stealing scandal in Houston. MLB announced the punishments for those actions on Monday and they were severe. Hopefully this serves as a lesson to any team contemplating cheating in the future and preserves the integrity of the game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander exploded on Monday with a phenomenal performance that put him in the record books.

The Kid from Akron played against his old team on Monday. After a mediocre first half, King James found his groove in the second, and passed Isiah Thomas in the process for the 8th most career assists EVER and led the Lakers to their 9th straight win.

As this game was coming to an end, Evan Fournier whipped it over to Air Gordon who put it up before the buzzer and put it in to turn a 1-point deficit into a lead for the last-second victory.

TJ Warren came through when it mattered most on Monday with a clutch block on Tobias Harris that prevented the go-ahead shot from going in and helped Indiana pull away from Philly at the end of the game.

Derrick Rose has added numerous clutch shots to his career highlight reel this season, and added another on Monday after he got this go-ahead layup to go with under a minute remaining, to force OT.

Carmelo Anthony’s impressive last-minute steal, while holding on to a one-possession lead, helped Portland seal up their win over Charlotte on Monday.

While LSU had their renaissance on Monday in NOLA, it was Pelicans players Jahlil Okafor and Lonzo Ball that are in the midst of their own renaissance, playing for New Orleans this season.
