Many people consider Tom Brady the GOAT, largely because his New England Patriots have won 6 Super Bowls under his leadership. None of Brady’s cynics can argue that TB12 has the career stats of a GOAT either. He’s now passed Peyton Manning for the 2nd most passing yards ever, trailing only Drew Brees. Of course, when including the postseason, his 83,436 total passing yards are the most by any human ever.

Gerrit Cole has been borderline unhittable recently. While his track record isn’t on the level of Verlander, Scherzer, and Strasburg, Cole is pitching like the best pitcher in the game of late. The numbers he’s putting up is ridiculous. If he can shut down the Yankees thunderous lineup multiple times in the ALCS, the debate for the “Best Pitcher in the MLB” might have a new front-runner, especially if the voters name him the 2019 AL Cy Young.
