Against all odds (on May 25th), the Washington Nationals have won their 1st NL pennant in franchise history in the 1st year after their former franchise player chose to sign with a division rival. Makes the story that much sweeter.

The best defensive playmaker on the market finally found his new team. From Florida to Cali.. not a bad life for the “Best trash talker in the NFL.”

The Cole Train isn’t slowing down for anyone, even one of the greatest offenses of all-time in one of the most hitter-friendly stadiums. It should be noted that if Didi Gregorius’s warning track pop fly had a few more feet on it, this narrative (and series) may be completely different.

A former All-Pro CB being traded in his prime during a contract year would typically generate ALL the headlines, but Marcus Peters wasn’t even the best CB traded on Tuesday. Still, don’t let this move go unnoticed. Peters still has as much talent as any corner in the league. If he can refrain from jumping double moves and go back to preventing deep TDs like he did in KC, he can once again become an All-Pro caliber player with all of the turnovers he creates.
