Saturday night’s NBA action saw a ton of incredible performances, as more individual players recorded a triple-double in one day than ever before. 2021 No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards threw down another monster jam, Giannis’s monster game helped fuel a Bucks win in the nation’s capital, and the Chargers future looks very bright despite the release of Casey Hayward.

Most triple-doubles during a single day in NBA history

Several star players rose up to help get their teams important wins, as an NBA-record five separate players recorded a triple-double in one day. Giannis Antetokounmpo (33 PTS, 11 REB, 11 AST) and Russell Westbrook (42-10-12) exchanged triple-doubles in the game of the day that saw the Bucks defeat the Wizards in D.C. 125-119. 

New York Knicks star F Julius Randle (26-12-12) recorded his second triple-double of the season in his teams’ 119-97 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Randle became the first Knicks player in the last 30 years to have multiple triple-doubles in a season.

James Harden (24-10-10) posted his ninth triple-double with the red-hot Nets in their 100-95 win over the Pistons while Domantas Sabonis (22-13-10) continued his All-Star season with another all-around phenomenal performance as the Pacers defeated the Suns 122-111.
