2019: Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson surpassed Matt Hasselbeck for the most career PASS YDS (29,434) in franchise history. Wilson increased this record to 37,059 PASS YDS before being traded to Denver

2019: Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson each set NFL records with Mahomes recording the most PASS YDS (9,238) & PASS TD (75) in a player’s 1st 30 career GP, and Jackson broke the Ravens franchise with his 35th PASS TD of the season while putting up the most PASS TD (36) by any player under 23 years old

2013: Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning broke the single-season PASS TD record with his 51st of the season to TE Julius Thomas. He would finish with 55 which still stands as the NFL season record

2012: Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson broke Jerry Rice’s record (1,848) for the most season REC YDS in NFL history. “Megatron” finished his 2012 season with 1,964 that still stands as the most REC YDS in 1 season

2003: HOF PG Isiah Thomas was hired by the New York Knicks as President of Basketball Operations

2003: A day after his father passed away, Brett Favre heroically threw for 399 passing yards and 4 touchdowns during a memorable Monday Night Football victory over the Raiders

1996: Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kordell Stewart scored on an 80-yard run, setting an NFL record for the longest run by a QB. Terrelle Pryor now owns the record after a 93-yard TD run in 2013

1994: Minnesota Timberwolves SG Isaiah Rider made a miraculous shot while saving a ball from going out of bounds that ended up going inside the basket with the announcer declaring it “the play of the decade.”

1956: HOF C Bill Russell made his NBA debut with the Boston Celtics, scoring 6 points with 16 rebounds in a 95-93 win over the St. Louis Hawks

1946: Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Yankees in the inaugural AAFC Championship game
