2007: San Francisco 49ers LB Patrick Willis broke Jonathan Vilma‘s record for most combined TKL (173) during a season in NFL history with a 12 TKL performance during the final game of his rookie season to extend the record to 174 which is still the most today

1995: Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins combined for a playoff-record 1,038 yards in Buffalo’s 37-22 Wild Card victory

1990: Orlando Magic PG Scott Skiles recorded an NBA-record 30 assists in a win over the Nuggets. Skiles’ 30 assists still stands as the NBA single-game record

1971: With the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the Seattle SuperSonics, they finished December 16-0 for the best calendar month in NBA history. Only the January, 2015 Hawks have recorded a better month (17-0)

1962: Green Bay Packers won their 8th NFL Championship (2nd straight), defeating the New York Giants

1961: Philadelphia Warriors C Wilt Chamberlain scored 40+ points (42) in his 14th consecutive game, setting an NBA record that still stands today

1956: New York Giants stomped the Chicago Bears 47-7 for their 4th NFL Championship in the 1st title game that didn’t include the Cleveland Browns since 1949
