February 18th, 2022 was highlighted by the NBA Rising Stars games under the new format that included G-League players and two semi-finals to 50 points before the Championship to 25 points. Detroit’s No.1 overall pick Cade Cunningham was named MVP after scoring 18 of his team’s 75 total points across the two games. Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony, and Anthony Edwards all added exciting highlights while each game finished on game-winning shots, two of them via free throws.

1995: With 15 assists in a win over the Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz PG John Stockton became the 1st player to record 10,000 career assists in NBA history 

1986: San Antonio Spurs SG Alvin Robertson put together just the 2nd quadruple-double in NBA history with 20 points, 10 assists, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals during a victory over the Suns

1961: PF Bob Petit set a Hawks franchise record with 57 PTS (plus 28 REB). Petit’s record of 57 PTS has been tied 3x but has yet to be surpassed as it still stands as ATL’s all-time single-game PTS record

1956: Los Angeles Lakers C George Mikan became the 1st player to record 10,000 career PTS in NBA history

1909: Boston Red Sox traded 41-year-old HOF SP Cy Young to the Cleveland Naps, the same city he started his career. Young would pitch 2.5 seasons in Cleveland (2.50 ERA) before being traded to the Boston Rustlers (Braves) at age-44 during his final career season
