Josh Giddy became the youngest ever to record a triple-double, Kyler Murray extended his Texas winning streak, and Matt Lafleur solidified the best 3-year run to start a NFL HC’s regular season career. 

Many franchise season records were set in NFL Week 17 by the likes of Jonathan Taylor (Colts RUSH YDS), Justin Herbert (Chargers PASS TD), Cooper Kupp (Rams REC YDS), Mark Andrews (Ravens REC YDS), and Robert Quinn (Bears SK). The Titans made franchise history with their second straight division title, Kyle Pitts joined exclusive company as he surpassed 1,000 REC YDS for a rookie Tight End, and Celtics F/G Jaylen Brown dropped 50 points in an OT thriller over Orlando.

2005: HOF Jerry Rice played the final game of his iconic career with Seattle, but didn’t record a single REC. He finished his career with the all-time record in REC YDS, REC TD, YScm, and Total TD among others

2003: 2x Super Bowl-winning HC Bill Parcells was announced as HC of the Dallas Cowboys

1999: Buffalo Bills WR Eric Moulds set a NFL postseason record with 240 REC YDS during a loss to the Miami Dolphins, passing Anthony Carter’s record of 227 REC YDS from 1988 with Moulds still being the record-holder today

1982: San Diego Chargers defeated the Miami Dolphins 41-38 in what was the highest-scoring playoff game in NFL history at the time. The Chargers held a 24-0 lead before Miami stormed back to send the game to OT, referred to as the “Epic in Miami”

1972: Dallas Cowboys defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship en route to their 1st Super Bowl title

1972: Miami Dolphins shut out their HC Don Shula’s former Baltimore Colts 21-0 to advance to their 1st Super Bowl 

1966: Green Bay Packers defeated the Cleveland Browns in the NFL Championship Game which was HOF RB Jim Brown‘s final NFL appearance during the 1st colorized NFL title game. This was the final NFL championship before the Super Bowl

1965: New York Jets signed Alabama QB Joe Namath to a pro football rookie record contract at the time (3y/$427K)
