January 23rd, 2022 was remembered for one of the greatest games in sports history as Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen put on one of the best displays of QB play ever, capped off with an epic final two minutes with a 13-second game-tying drive and GW-TD led by Patrick Mahomes to lift the Chiefs to their fourth straight AFC Championship in each of his first four seasons as QB1. The Rams also held on to beat the Bucs in what might’ve been Tom Brady’s last career game after a Stafford-to-Kupp bomb helped the Rams from blowing a 27-3 lead.

Jimmy Butler passed LeBron James for the most career triple-doubles in Miami Heat history while Jayson Tatum dropped 50 points vs. DC again, joining Larry Bird in Boston’s all-time record books. Jalen Suggs, LaMelo Ball, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, and Jordan Poole all added top NBA plays on Sunday.

See what happened in sports on January 23rd last year, headlined by a Jamal Murray buzzer-beater versus the Suns to cap off a 2OT thriller and a career-high 41 from Bam Adebayo that was spoiled by Kyrie‘s big fourth quarter, as well as what happened in sports on January 23rd, 2020 ft. a King James triple-double against the Kyrie-led Nets.
