1967: The “12th Street Riot” in Detroit forced the postponement of the evening’s Tigers-Orioles game and the rest of the series was promptly moved to Baltimore

1941: Boston Red Sox SP Lefty Grove became the 12th pitcher to record 300 career wins in MLB history with a victory over the Cleveland Indians, but it would be his last, as his final 6 starts resulted in an 0-3 record
