March 7th, 2021 was highlighted by the 2021 NBA All-Star game as Team LeBron dominated Team Durant (who didn’t play as he was injured). Giannis won ASG MVP after a perfect night from the floor, Steph and Dame took turns lighting it up from long distance, and CP3 passed Magic Johnson for the most assists in All-Star Game history.

For the first time ever, the Slam Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge, and the wildly stacked 3-Point Contest all took place on the same day as the ASG with Anfernee Simons, Domantas Sabonis, and Steph Curry winning each of those, respectively. Blake Griffin agreed to sign with the Brooklyn Nets and Houston Astros’ top prospect Forrest Whitley is headed for Tommy John surgery.

See what happened in sports on March 7th last year and the Best in Sports from exactly a year ago, headlined by Ja Morant‘s big performance against Ice Trae‘s Hawks, GSW vs. PHI coming down to the wire, and Jamal Murray‘s half-time buzzer-beater from deep.

This daily sports article includes real headlines only (no clickbait rumors), all of the best highlights, interesting facts from around the NFL, NBA, & MLB, the main games to watch, top performances of the day, notable birthdays, and a quick recap of significant events on this day in sports history.
